ASTANA. August 19. KAZINFORM /Muratbek Makulbekov/ Coordination Council of the International Mathematical Olympiad expressed gratitude to Kazakhstan President Nursultan Nazarbayev for the support of holding of the 51^st IMO at the highest organizational level; Kazinform has learnt from the press service of the Republican Scientific Practical Center for Gifted Children 'Daryn'.

"The recognition of the achievements of your state in the international arena as well the success of Kazakh mathematicians led to the decision by the IMO to hold the 51^st Olympiad in Kazakhstan", Chairman of the IMO Coordination Council Nazar Agakhanov writes in his letter to the Head of the State.

He also noted the efforts of the Kazakh Ministry of Education and Science and 'Daryn' Center on organizing cultural program for the participants.

N. Agakhanov emphasized that the 51st International Mathematical Olympiad successfully promoted international cooperation development and strengthened the image of Kazakhstan in the international arena.
