16 August 2010, 16:04 Kazakhstan, Lithuania get new opportunities of cooperation due to Customs Union - R. Kozyrovičius ASTANA. August 16. KAZINFORM Chairman of the Senate of Kazakhstan's Parliament Kassym-Jomart Tokayev has received Ambassador of Lithuania Romualdas Kozyrovičius in connection with the completion of his diplomatic mission to Kazakhstan today; the Senate's press service informs. K. Tokayev noted the importance of development of the interparliamentary cooperation. As is known, next year Lithuania will take over the OSCE chairmanship from Kazakhstan. The Speaker thanked the Lithuanian authorities for their support of holding the OSCE Summit in Astana. As Mr. Kozyrovičius noted, the two states has all conditions for further activation of bilateral relations. The countries hold top level delegation exchange, develop interstate contacts. According to the diplomat, Lithuania treats Kazakhstan and its leader Nursultan Nazarbayev with deep respect. He also emphasized that due to the establishment of the Customs Union the two states got new opportunities of interaction in the economic, trade and cultural-humanitarian spheres. Comments (0)
