ASTANA. July 31. KAZINFORM /Zhanna Korkitova/ Harvest campaign has been started in southern and western regions of Kazakhstan. Director of the department for agriculture and phytosanitary security of the Kazakh Ministry of Agriculture Anna Buts has made it public today at the session of the board of the Ministry.

Harvesting area of these regions is 2.3 mln hectares.

"To date, 417 thousand hectares of cereal crops have been harvested. This is 29% of the total area", A.Buts said.

The total harvested area of the country is 15.6 mln hectares that is 1.0 hectares less compared to the last tear.

A.Burs also said that 408 thousand tons of fuel at preferential prices will be allocated to agricultural producers for the harvest campaign.
