23 July 2010, 13:49 Atomic energy makes 46% of Kazakhstan's energy sector ![]() ASTANA. July 23. KAZINFORM /Damir Baimanov/ Nuclear energy will hold the fourth of Kazakhstan's energy sector. Majit Sharipov, Director of the Atomic Energy and Industry Department of the Ministry of Industry and New Technologies, has made it public at an enlarged session of the Ministry's board today. "Kazakhstan possesses huge reserves of uranium which make 46% of the country's energy reserves. Our objective is to build an atomic power station, diversify our energy sources and raise the share of nuclear energy up to 20%", M. Sharipov said.
