UNDP implements project on development of Kazakh part of Altai-Sayan ecoregion
 UST-KAMENOGORSK. July 4. KAZINFORM /Lyudmila Malko/ Construction of hangars for housing forest fires suppression equipment is underway in East Kazakhstan region within the United Nations Development Program.

The UN global development network implements project on extension of the network of specially protected natural reservations for preservation of the Altai-Sayan ecoregion in East Kazakhstan.

According to the experts of the project Oleg Chugunkov, the firs hangar for mechanical engineering built in Ust-Kamenogorsk was put into service. Two more hangars - in Katon-Karagai and Markakol regions will be commissioned soon.

O.Chugunkov said that the UNDP project was financed at the expense of the German Federal Ministry for Environment, Nature Conservation and Nuclear Safety.
