UST KAMENOGORSK. June 8. KAZINFORM /Kanat Kulshmanov/ Today within the trip to the East Kazakhstan oblast Prime Minister Karim Massimov has visited Kazzinc LTD to discuss the region's ecological situation.

The head of the Government was accompanied by the oblast governor Berdybek Saparbayev, Minister of Environmental Protection Nurgali Ashimov, Minister of Emergency Vladimir Bozhko and other officials. 

As Karim Massimov noted, earlier a factory with a chimney was the major attribute of any city. "Today primary attention must be given to a person, health improvement programs and life expectancy", the Prime Minister stressed.

During the discussion Gennady Koreshkov, a representative of the Regional Council of Community initiated to establish an Ust Kamenogorsk Environmental Safety Center and construction of two additional bridges in the city across the Ulba and Irtysh rivers.
