Issues regarding financial stability in post-crisis period discussed In Almaty
ASTANA. May 28. KAZINFORM /Aigul Turysbekova/  The issues regarding the improvement of the financial stability, quality of corporate governance and the transparency of financial organizations have been discussed today in Almaty at a roundtable on the concept of the development of financial sector in the post crisis period in Kazakhstan.

It was noted that the global financial crisis revealed the disadvantages of the models of regulations of financial relations at the worldwide scale and at the national level as well.

Weak spots emerged in the state regulation systems, in the work of financial institutes. The problems of financial institutes showed up in the inability to manage the risk factors, in the imperfection of the business models of financial sectors, which appeared to be too sensitive to negative changes.

According to Head of the Institute of World Economics and Politics under the Fund of the President of Kazakhstan Oleg Rakhmatulin, the bankruptcy of the largest banks in the US, non-profitable work of the international financial institutes restrict external sources of funding. 'It is necessary to increase the effectiveness of financial institutes, improve the work of the second-tier banks, develop the internal sources of funding', O. Rakhmatulin said.

Besides, it was noted that Kazakhstan is ready for the post-crisis period and has the worked out measures. Among them is the development of business relations, ensuring the stability of financial system which will be the basis for further development. One of the main traits of the post-crisis systems is to eliminate the problems revealed during the crisis. This is the relevant step Kazakhstan made towards a new level of the country's development.
