ALMATY.  May 26. KAZINFORM  /Daniyar Sikhimbayev/ The anti-crisis program launched by the Government of Kazakhstan proved to be effective. Chairman of the National Bank of Kazakhstan Grigory Marchenko said it at a meeting with the faculty of the Al-Farabi Kazakh National University in Almaty yesterday.

The Chief Banker of the country said the Government had allotted the funds to the banks not for their saving, but for refinancing mortgage loans, the loans for small and medium businesses and agricultural producers.  "This money was allotted for certain purposes, for certain programs", he stressed.

According to him, the state should withdraw from the capital of those financial institutions which it had intervened in crisis period.
