ASTANA. May 19. KAZINFORM /Gulnara Zhandagulova/ XIII International Microfinance Conference will take place in Astana on May 26-28. More than 400 delegates from 50 countries will take part in it; Kazinform has learnt from the Ministry of Economic Development and Trade.

The conference is aimed at giving an opportunity to the Kazakh delegates to meet with potential investors and exchange experience with foreign specialists.

"In the light of the state policy on development of microcrediting, as one of the key mechanisms for support of small and medium businesses, holding of the conference in Kazakhstan is a significant contribution to the development of non-banking financial services sector", the Ministry's press release reads.

The investor fair with the participation of large financial institutes as Citigroup, Deutsche Bank and others will be held within the conference.
