ASTANA. April 30. KAZINFORM /Damir Baimanov/ Czech Airlines JSC is opening a regular direct flight on route Astana-Prague-Astana.

The flight presentation has been held in the Radisson hotel on Thursday, April 29.

According to the company's representatives, flights from Astana will be carried out twice a week: on Wednesdays and Saturdays on a comfortable airliner Airbus 319. The flight duration is six hours.

"This flight will promote further cooperation of Kazakhstan with the Czech Republic not only in the sphere of tourism, but in other fields. As you know, we are participants of the Schengen Area, and it will bring together Kazakhstan with the European Union countries", Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of Czechia to Kazakhstan Bedrich Kopecky noted.

Besides, the diplomat considers that the flight opening will be beneficial for the Kazakh travel companies, which can attract in Astana not only Czech tourists.

"It is necessary to open Kazakhstan to the Czechs. And this is mutual benefit, hence your country has huge tourist opportunities", the Ambassador said.

The company plans to organize a charitable event at the first day of flights - the Children's Day. Five children-orphans from Ust-Kamenogorsk will visit Prague.
