Pavlodar region likely to enhance aluminum processing - A. Rau
 ASTANA.  March 19. KAZINFORM  /Kanat Kulshmanov/ The Ministry of Industry and New Technologies considers an issue of enhancing aluminum processing in Pavlodar region,  Vice Minister Albert Rau has said it during the III Forum of German Investors in Kazakhstan.

"Kazakhstan started to increase the volumes of aluminum production that is why at present we are discussing the issue of enhancing processing of aluminum", the Vice Minister said.

Alongside, A. Rau noted that Kazakhstan was keen on processing of aluminum into the products of higher quality and its export in third countries.

As Vice Premier-Minister of Industry and New Technologies Asset Issekeshev informed earlier, Kazakhstan produces 125, 000 tons of primary aluminum to date. Due to commissioning several ore-mining projects in 2010 this figure is expected to rise up to 250, 000 tons.
