ASTANA. March 18. KAZINFORM /Muratbek Makulbekov/ There will be created a Center of near-border cooperation similar to Horgos on the border with Uzbekistan. Prime Minister Karim Massimov has announced at a plenary session of the Kazakh Senate during discussion of amendments to the national budget for 2010-2012.

"Yesterday the Head of the State met with the President of Uzbekistan. I was charged to study the issue on creation of a zone similar to Horgos on the border with Uzbekistan", K.Massimov said.

He noted that the Government will solve a number of issues connected with participation of Kazakhstan in the Customs Union for such zone creation.
