ASTANA. March 17. KAZINFORM /Gulnara Zhandagulova/ The Government of Japan will finance four social projects in Kazakhstan. One of them is construction of a bacteriological laboratory for prevention of infectious diseases in Zhambyl region within "Grass Roots" program of the Japan's Official Development Assistance (ODA). Ceremony of signing of grant projects between Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of Japan to Kazakhstan Shigeo Natsui and official representatives of corresponding organizations has been held today.

"The main purpose of "Grass Roots" program is improvement of living standards of ordinary people. The results of the program have already witnessed its efficiency and proximity to the problems of ordinary people. Probably, the amount of financing of the projects is not great, but their realization will be a symbol of significant bilateral cooperation", S.Natsui said.

The financial support will be rendered to the following projects: project on purchase of medical equipment for Moiynkum central regional hospital, project on establishment of a homeless people support center in Aksu town, project on reconstruction of school №22 in Semey city, project on purchase of special vehicles for transportation of people with disabilities in Semey city.
