Kazakh Ambassador to the Czech Republic Anarbek Karashev delivered a lecture before the faculty and students, including those from Kazakhstan, who study under the state program "Bolashak" at the Charles University, Prague, yesterday. The lecture was entitled "Kazakhstan - OSCE Chair; Priorities, Plans, Perspectives"; Kazinform refers to the Kazakh Embassy in the Czech Republic. The diplomat told about the main priorities of Kazakhstan as OSCE Chair. He noted that the decision to give the OSCE chairmanship to Kazakhstan was the recognition of its socio-economic and political success and personal victory of President of Kazakhstan Nursultan Nazarbayev and Kazakh diplomacy. He also noted the measures taken by Kazakhstan for settlement of protracted conflicts, including the visits of OSCE Chairman-in-Office, Secretary of State Kanat Saudabayev to Azerbaijan, Armenia and Georgia, oncoming tour to South-Eastern Europe as well as the planned activities in the light of all three dimensions of the OSCE. A. Karashev emphasized the initiative of Kazakhstan on holding the OSCE Summit in Astana. A photo exhibition on modern Kazakhstan was organized before the lecture. Comments (0)
