KAZINFORM /Murat Zhakeyev/ The European Union allocates additional EUR 5 mln for development of technical and vocational education in Kazakhstan. Representatives of the EU in Kazakhstan P. Hubert announced it at a seminar in Astana today. "Currently, the European Union is implementing its third consistent project in development of technical and vocational education in Kazakhstan. We have allocated additional EUR 5 mln for two multi-year joint projects with the Kazakhstan Government", the EU Representative said. According to Mr. Hubert, to date Kazakhstan needs highly-qualified labor forces which will be able to work both in domestic and foreign companies. "The developing economy of Kazakhstan needs more qualified human forces while our companies working in your country need strong partners. Therefore the European Union is confident in importance of development of technical and vocational education in Kazakhstan", he said. Alongside, P. Hubert noted that these investments must be sent to "improvement of quality of education". "Business must develop its own requirements to personnel", he stressed. "The European Union is ready to consult Kazakh Government and interested sides in all corresponding issues", P. Hubert resumed. Comments (0)
