ASTANA.  March 15. KAZINFORM  /Muratbek Makulbekov/ On Monday Speaker of the Lower House of the Kazakh Parliament Ural Mukhamedzhanov and a group of majilismen met with Chairman of the Parliamentary Assembly of the Council of Europe Mevlut Chavushoglu.

U. Mukhamedzhanov informed the guest of the Kazakh Parliament's activity and its work within the chairmanship of our country in the OSCE. He also noted that due to abolition of the observer status in the Council of Europe the Kazakh side considered the issue of gaining the "partner for democracy" status.

In turn, M. Chavushoglu said his visit to Kazakhstan was connected with the contribution to activity of the PACE which our country could make.

"Being the partner for democracy Kazakhstan can send its claims and petitions to the Council", M. Chavushoglu said.
