ASTANA. March 4. KAZINFORM Kazakh Ambassador Yerik Utembayev met with Luxembourg Vice Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs Jean Asselborn on March 2. The parties discussed the prospects for development and extension of cooperation and interaction within the international and regional institutions, Kazinform refers to the Kazakh Foreign Ministry.

The Head of the Luxemburg Foreign Ministry highly appraised the state of cooperation with Kazakhstan stressing the leading role of our country in Central Asian region.

He complimented the successful beginning of chairmanship in the OSCE assuring that Luxemburg will keep on supporting Astana in performing this mission.

Y.Utembayev briefed the interlocutor on the main provisions of the President's Address to the nation and informed on holding of informal meeting of Foreign Ministers of the OSCE member states scheduled in Almaty. Jean Asselborn expressed readiness to take part in the meeting.

The sides agreed with the fact that the active political cooperation must be completed with extension of trade-economic partnership between Kazakhstan and Luxemburg. In this regard, Y.Utembayev paid special attention to the opportunities of investment to different sectors of the Kazakh economy, informing on the investment activity of Kazakhstan at foreign markets including European.
