Kazakh Chairman of Majilis, Finnish Minister of Foreign Trade and Development met
ASTANA. March 4. KAZINFORM /Muratbek Makulbekov/ Chairman of Majilis of the Kazakh Parliament Ural Mukhamedzhanov has met with Minister of Foreign Trade and Development of Finland Paavo Vayrynen.

In the course of the meeting U. Mukhamedzhanov noted that Kazakhstan considers Finland as an important political and economic partner in Europe. "We are interested in enhancement of the dialogue along all the lines. We highly appreciate support of Finland in our foreign policy initiatives", - the Speaker said.

In his turn, P. Vayrynen informed that his side has already ratified the Agreement on prevention of dual taxation between Finland and Kazakhstan and proposed to advance ratification of the Agreement by Kazakhstani side. Besides, the Minister was interested in the opinion of the Chairman of Majilis concerning further development of trade-and-economic relations between both countries taking into account the Customs Union of Kazakhstan, Russia and Belarus.

U. Mukhamedzhanov expressed confidence that partner relations between Kazakhstan and Finland will be developed in future whereas according to him, some decrease in trade turnover between the countries last year was connected with the impact of the crisis.
