Majilis Chairman met Romanian President
 ASTANA.  March 3. KAZINFORM /Muratbek Makulbekov/ Chairman of the Majilis of the Kazakh Parliament Ural Mukhamedzhanov accompanied by a group of deputies met today with President of Romania Traian Basescu who is paying a visit to Astana at present.

U. Mukhamedzhanov congratulated Mr. Basescu on election to the post of the President of Romania.

"We consider your reelection to this post as a fact of approval of the policy and the socio-political reforms You conduct by the nation", the Speaker said.

He said that Kazakhstan considered Romania as a promising partner possessing huge political, economic and investment potential.

In turn, T. Basescu said Romania exerted every effort for creation of attractive business climate for the Kazakh companies.

"We are very glad that the largest oil and gas company of Kazakhstan KazMunayGas allotted huge funds to our economy", the Romanian President said.

Touching upon Kazakhstan's OSCE chairmanship T. Basescu said Romania fully supported Kazakhstan's idea to hold the OSCE summit in Astana.

The parties also noted necessity of further development of the Kazakh-Romanian partnership relations including interparliamentary cooperation.
