ALMATY. February 25. KAZINFORM /Daniyar Sikhimbayev/ The third international research conference, titled "The Issues of Innovation Development of Oil-and-Gas Industry" has been opened today in Almaty. The conference was organized by Kazakh-British Technical University.  

Representatives of the Kazakh Ministry of Education and Science, KazMunaiGaz, KazEnergy, Kazakhstan Petroleum Association, Maersk Company and foreign universities took part in the event.

According to Managing Director for Science of the University Zhumadil Baigunchekov the conference is aimed at analysis of the current state, prospects of development and staff training for oil-and-gas sector of Kazakhstan.

"This year we hold the conference with SPE KBTU society of engineers and oil workers. The work will be held according to four sections. Our purpose is the exchange of new technology and ideas. Besides, as far as we have relations with oil-and-gas companies we know what staff they need in", - he said.

The conference will last two days.
