ASTANA-AKORDA. February 9. KAZINFORM Head of the State Nursultan Nazarbayev has received Akim of Karaganda region Serik Akhmetov.
S. Akhmetov informed the President on elaborating conception of development for basic branches of the region as coal mining, iron and non-ferrous metallurgy, mining industry, engineering, metalworking production and construction industry as well as the projects to be implemented within the program of forced industrial-innovation development.
Within the development of the Kazakhstan's content it is planned to establish the Karaganda Engineering Consortium on production of mining equipment for coal enterprises of the region. The irrigated cropping is also expected to be revived in agriculture this and next years.
The principal lines for further energy development of Karaganda region were designated during the meeting as well.
The Akim of the region reported on the measures to be held within the preparation to the 50th anniversary of Kazakhstan's Magnitka in Temirtau town and 20th anniversary of Kazakhstan's Independence.
