First President of Czech Republic V. Hagel: Our countries share common totalitarian past and today Kazakhstan enjoys growing authority on international arena

ASTANA. February 8. KAZINFORM Kazakhstan Ambassador to the Czech Republic Anarbek Karashev met with First President of this country, renowned politician Vaclav Havel in Prague, the press service of the Kazakh Foreign Office informs.
A. Karashev informed V. Havel of the major events in the country's history in the years of independence, in particular, the economic and political reforms as well as the main provisions of the President's Message to the Nation New Decade - New Economic Growth - New Opportunities of Kazakhstan and the priorities of the country's OSCE chairmanship.
In turn, V. Havel noted "Our countries share common totalitarian past and today Kazakhstan enjoys growing authority on the international arena".
In this view V. Havel congratulated Kazakhstan and our President on assuming the office of the OSCE presiding country and said "Kazakhstan faces important challenges to date. These are raising the efficiency of the OSCE and strengthening its role in solution of international and regional problems".
In conclusion of the meeting the Czech politician expressed confidence in Kazakhstan's success in solution of the tasks it had set and wished well-being to the Kazakhstani people.
