ASTANA. February 5. KAZINFORM /Rizvana Sadykova/ Intsok and Kazenergy are arranging a business seminar in cooperation with the NorwegianMinistry of Foreign affairs, the Kazakhstan Ministry of Industry and Trade and the Ministry of Energy and Mineral Resources.  

HRH Crown Prince Haakon will open the summit, and the Norwegian Minister of Foreign Affairs Mr.Jonas Gahr Store will address the summit opening session, along with the Kazakhstan Minister of Industry and Trade.

 
The objective of the seminar in Astana is to strengthen the dialogue and cooperation between the two governments and the oil and gas industry in the two countries. The two countries see increased interaction in the energy sector to be of mutual importance. Norway has a recent history of developing huge resources and becoming one of the world's largest oil and gas exporters. Important experience has been gained on the government regulatory side, in the national oil company Statoil as operator and in the cutting edge technology of the supplier industry. Kazakhstan is in the midst of developing very challenging oil and gas fields requiring advanced technology solutions.The country will become one of the leading global oil and gas producers in the next decade.

Intsok, Norwegian Oil and Gas Partners is a government industry organization aiming at promoting the Norwegian oil and gas industry in international markets. The organization has 200 member companies.

Kazenergy Association is an independent voluntary non-profit organization aimed at creating favorable conditions for the dynamic and sustainable development of oil-and-gas and electric power industry of Kazakhstan.
