ALMATY. December 17. KAZINFORM Representatives of Almaty Jewish community along with the Independence Day marked their traditional holiday - Hanukkah Feast of Lights.

Chief Rabbi of Kazakhstan Yeshaya Kogen held the solemn ceremony. He noted that the concurrency of both holidays is symbolical. Jewish Hanukkah which is held since the first years of Kazakhstan's independence traditionally gathers representatives of different nations living in our country.

The event was organized by the Jewish Center of Kazakhstan "Khabad Lyubavich".
