ASTANA. KAZINFORM - High-level debate on non-proliferation chaired by President Nursultan Nazarbayev of Kazakhstan and ministerial meeting Building regional partnership in Afghanistan and Central Asia held on January 18-19 became landmark events in the work of the UN Security Council.











Here is the look at the UN headquarters through the eyes of our reporter who witnessed everything that happened there.



The flags of the UN Member States including Kazakhstan were hanged out in front of the UN headquarters.



Inside the headquarters look like a museum with portraits of people who contributed to the development of the organization including all former Secretaries-General.








Kazakhstan put on display a copy of its legendary Golden man which ‘greets' visitors of the UN General Assembly and UN Security Council sessions.



A photo exhibition dedicated to Kazakhstan's peaceful policy, Astana and EXPO-2017 is underway on the first floor during Kazakhstan's one-month presidency over the UN Security Council.
