Spring draft begins in Kazakhstan

ASTANA. KAZINFORM This spring more than 17,000 citizens aged 18 to 27 are expected to join the Armed Forces of the Republic of Kazakhstan, Kazinform has learned from the country's Defense Ministry.

Kazakhstan has a bi-annual call-up in spring and autumn. Conscripts serve for 12 months in military units across the country.
