Preservation of peace in country depends on people living in it - President

ASTANA. October 20. KAZINFORM /Muratbek Makulbekov/ Preservation of peace in a country depends directly on the people living in it. President Nursultan Nazarbayev has said it delivering a welcoming speech at the 16th session of the People's Assembly of Kazakhstan. The session is taking place at the Palace of Independence in Astana currently.

"Unfortunately, the concerns connected with complication of inter-ethnic and inter-religious relations cover today many regions of the planet. The world observes growth of religious intolerance", Nazarbayev said.

He noted that certain countries use the most radical methods of preservation of national identity due to the growing migration. The President mentioned the situation in Europe and the U.S.A. where anti-Islamic mood arouses negative responses in the Muslim world.

According to him, the objective of unification of all sober-minded forces of West and Muslim ones in East for neutralization of extremist moods gains great importance to date.

"And the Congress of the Leaders of World and Traditional Religions works on solution of this issue", the Head of State added.
