Opera star in the making Mariya Mudryak from Kazakhstan stuns the Netherlands

PAVLODAR. July 11. KAZINFORM Budding opera star from Kazakhstan Mariya Mudryak has become one of the world's top ten sopranos at the 32nd International Hans Gabor Belvedere Singing Competition 2013 in Amsterdam.

After preliminary rounds on all continents and tough competition, the most promising talents came to Amsterdam in the hopes of becoming the winner. The competition founded by Hans Gabor is called "the Wall Street of Voices" for up-and-coming opera singers.

19-year-old Masha Mudryak beat more experienced opponents and surpassed 108 vocalists during the competition.

"After my performance in the semifinal I've received a lot of offers from opera managers from Italy, Romania, Germany and so on. I will be quite busy up until 2015," Mudryak told her fans in Pavlodar.
