ASTANA. October 28. KAZINFORM - Kazakhstan plans to create a single organizer of public procurement, Minister of Finance Bolat Zhamishev told a briefing in the Central Communications Service, the web-site of the Prime Minister informs.

"In order to avoid the risks associated with the lack of professionalism of competition and auction commissions when choosing a winner among suppliers, occurring in the form of insufficient legal competence, it is planned to create a single organizer of public procurement," Zhamishev said.
According to him, the organizer is expected to function at the national and local levels. Its responsibility will be to carry out the procedures of the organization and conduct of public procurement by means of competition and auction for the budget programs determined by the decision of the Government.
"This provision is aimed at ensuring the selection of a supplier, who meets all the requirements; enhancing mutual control between clients and the central organizer of procurement," Zhamishev said.
"We believe that the amendment will reduce the cases of declaring competitions void, reduce corruption offenses," he concluded.
