ASTANA. May 22. KAZINFORM Kazakhstan plans to reach final agreements on the accession to the World Trade Organization (WTO) within six months, Vice Minister of Economy and Budget Planning Timur Zhaksylykov stated during the VI Astana Economic Forum, Kazinform refers to primeminister.kz

However, as he noted, the negotiations continue on the issue of the transition period for the companies of oil and gas and mining sectors.

In addition, negotiations on the level of support for agriculture are underway. "As part of these negotiations, Kazakhstan requests a certain level of state support of agriculture, which, in our opinion, would be sufficient to implement activities under the state programs of agricultural sector development and to ensure that the business develops and feels safe enough," the Deputy Minister added.

Kazakhstan has already completed bilateral market access negotiations on goods and services. Bilateral talks on access to commodities market have been completed with 30 countries, on access to services market - with 15 countries, including the countries of the European Union (EU acts as one country in the negotiations) and the United States.

Kazakhstan also enters into commitments on ten major sectors of services, which include commercial services, communications, construction and other engineering services, distribution services, education services, services related to leisure activities.

Following the negotiations, there is agreement on the preservation of local content in the procurement of works and services, as well as the involvement of Kazakh personnel in the subsoil use contracts. The second agreement is on the entry and temporary stay of foreign workers. Third is on the access to the market of information and communication services, etc.
