Kazakhstan and Uzbekistan trade increase at issue in Almaty

ALMATY. July 17. KAZINFORM - More than 60 businesspeople and representatives of government agencies, trade promotion agencies of the two countries will take part in a round table titled "Ways to increase trade turnover between Uzbekistan and Kazakhstan." The sitting will be held tomorrow, July 18, in Almaty.

Uzbek businessmen will be making presentations of the textile, fruit and vegetable sectors of the economy. Kazakh counterparts will speak about retailers, logistics companies and distributors of agricultural and textile products.

The event has been organized by the National Economic Chamber of Kazakhstan called "Atameken" Union" together with the USAID regional economic cooperation.

During the meeting participants will exchange views and discuss a wide range of issues, including customs clearance and declaration of goods, sanitary and epidemiological requirements and procedures, phyto-sanitary standards, the prospects for developing transport infrastructure and logistics, trade finance and other points. Similar event was held in Tashkent in April this year

As the director of USAID in Uzbekistan Erin Cole states, "USAID contributes to the development of trade in Central Asia. This event will provide an excellent opportunity to businesses of two countries for actualization of trade relations, studying demand for exports from Uzbekistan and solutions to effectively meet this demand. "
