Kazakh Prime Minister met with his Macedonian counterpart in Astana

ASTANA. May 23. KAZINFORM Today, Prime Minister of Kazakhstan Serik Akhmetov has met with Prime Minister of Macedonia Nikola Gruevski on the sidelines of VI Astana Economic Forum, Primeminister.kz reported.

The sides discussed the state and prospects of bilateral cooperation in trade and economic sphere.

Calling Macedonia as an important partner in the Balkan region the head of the Kazakh Government said that "the two countries have big potential for the development of mutually beneficial economic cooperation, expansion of contacts in the spheres of transit transport, energy, joint ventures in various sectors of the economy."

In this regard, Serik Akhmetov proposed the establishment of a working group on the formation of the "road map" that would define the priority areas of bilateral cooperation.

Nikola Gruevski agreed with his Kazakh colleague and stressed that "the Kazakh-Macedonian cooperation has all the prospects to reach a qualitatively higher level."

Head of the Government of Macedonia invited his Kazakh counterpart to pay a visit to his country.
