ASTANA. February 11. KAZINFORM The diplomatic mission of Kazakhstan in Bulgaria held a press-briefing in Sofia dedicated to explaining the main provisions of the State-of-the-Nation-Address President Nursultan Nazarbayev recently delivered, the press service of the diplomatic mission informs.

Representatives of mass media of Bulgaria took part in the event that was organized in association with the Union of Bulgarian journalists.

Charge d'Affaires of Kazakhstan Temirtai Izbastin told about the main socio-economic and political aspects of development of Kazakhstan as well as about the tasks the President set in his Address to the Nation. The emphasis was made on the goals of the programs realized in Kazakhstan - aimed at improvement of people's wellbeing. Regarding foreign policy of Kazakhstan the participants of the briefing were informed about the upcoming presidency of Kazakhstan in the OIC, SCO Summit and about development of the Kazakh-Bulgarian relations.

Attention was mostly drawn to the 20th anniversary of independence of our country in 2011.

Bulgarian journalists highly appraised the idea of the President's Address to the Nation. All in attendance noted the commitment of Kazakhstan to the principles of democracy which resulted in President's decision to reject the national referendum and hold early Presidential elections.
