Kazakh lawmakers adopt bill on youth policy in the first reading

ASTANA. KAZINFORM - Majilis, lower chamber of the Kazakh Parliament, has adopted at the first reading the bill "On state youth policy in the Republic of Kazakhstan" today. The bill was unanimously backed by all deputies of Majilis.

"The bill will help form effective model of state youth policy aimed successful integration of young people into the society and make maximum use of their potential for the benefit of the country," said Minister of Education and Science Aslan Sarinzhipov, introducing the bill to Kazakhstani lawmakers. According to Minister Sarinzhipov, the bill will protect rights and interests of Kazakhstani youngsters, make them socially and politically active and raise patriotic spirit. He also added that the document defines the guidelines of the national youth policy, including the provision of decent education, healthier lifestyle, more employment and business opportunities, affordable housing for young families, anti-corruption measures, etc.
