German journalists interested in laboratories of Eastern Kazakhstan University
«Wirtschafts Woche» weekly magazine reporter Florian Villerskhauzen and photographer Nils Breer said that their magazine was the leading publication specializing in economics and business topics. In the region they arrived to see, and then tell the readers about economic opportunities in Kazakhstan. The Eastern university made them interested by the fact that it is the only higher education institution in the area, which is engaged in serious scientific research along with the preparation of the higher technical personnel.
Vice President for Academic and Methodical Work of Nicholai Linok and Vice President for Science and International Cooperation Oleg Gavrilenko held for guests the detailed tour of the university and its laboratories.
Particularly impressing thing for the German journalists has become the work of local scientists in the regional laboratories of engineering profile (IRGETAS), equipped with modern equipment.
Florian Villerskhauzen noted the high scientific potential of the university and the uniqueness of its scientific research. German visitor added that one of the articles, which he is preparing for his magazine, is devoted to geology, so he is keen to have information on industrial enterprises, organizations and universities in Kazakhstan, working in this field.
Many German companies have motivation to build partnerships with the Kazakh side. So, the university of Ust-Kamenogorsk, on the basis of which there may be necessary research and development, will have a special role in the process.
The parties were concerned with the possibilities and prospects of Kazakh-German cooperation.
