Forecasters warn of avalanche danger in S Kazakhstan

ASTANA. KAZINFORM Kazhydromet has issued a storm warning for Almaty and South-Kazakhstan regions, Kazinform correspondent reports.

Due to the high snow cover and precipitation in the mountainous regions of Almaty and South Kazakhstan region (above 2300 m) during the period April 29-May 2, snow avalanches are possible.

It recommended avoiding steep snow-covered slopes.
