Flooding alert in effect in Almaty region

ASTANA. KAZINFORM - A storm alert has been in effect in Almaty region, Kazinform reports.

"Heavy rainfall and precipitation may cause flooding on some rivers of Almaty region on April 16-17," the local emergencies service said in a statement.
