NEW YORK. May 15. KAZINFORM – Diplomatic relations have been established between the Republic of Kazakhstan and the Commonwealth of Dominica on the level of permanent representatives under the United Nations, by signing the Joint Communiqué in New York. The press service of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs reports.

"Birganym Aitimova, the permanent representative under the UN and Vince Henderson, the Dominica permanent representative under the UN signed the document", a statement says.

"During the meeting Vince Henderson said that his country was closely following the developments in the foreign policy of Kazakhstan and supports the Kazakhstani international initiatives. He also informed about his participation in the VI Astana Economic Forum and the World Anti-Crisis Conference. The foreign diplomat also assured the interest of the Caribbean countries to establish bilateral cooperation with Kazakhstan especially in the field of energy, economy, trade and tourism", said the Foreign Ministry.

The Republic of the Commonwealth of Dominica is a member state of the Organization of American States (OAS), the trade and economic union of South American countries - CARICOM (Caribbean Community) and Alaba (Bolivarian Alliance for the Peoples of Our America) - an international organization and sub-regional integration grouping of Latin America and the Caribbean .
