ASTANA. May 23. KAZINFORM - Market of Common Economic Space (CES) is functioning on the basis of the rules of the World Trade Organization.

This opinion has been expressed by Chairman of Board of the Eurasian Economic Commission Viktor Khristenko during his speech at the VI Astana Economic Forum, that is held at the Palace of Independence.

According to him, Russia has joined the WTO with a substantial part of its commitment to implement supranational norms of the Eurasian Commission.

"Thus, both de jure and de facto, the single market of the Customs Union and the CES operates on the basis of norms and rules of the WTO, becoming more open and understandable for investors", said Viktor Khristenko.

Chairman of the Board of ECE also stressed that the CES should be able to fully participate in updating global rules, including the WTO. In his view, the future shape of the world will depend on effectiveness of the global dialogue that is integration units, including their internal efficiency.
