Azia Avto, KIA Motors continue successful cooperation, launch KIA Cee'd model

UST-KAMENOGORSK. April 12. KAZINFORM The assembly of a new model of KIA Cee'd has kicked off at the Ust-Kamenogorsk automobile assembly plant.

KIA Motors okayed the start of production of the 11^th KIA model by Azia Avto (Kazakhstan).

Deputy Ambassador of South Korea in Kazakhstan Song Geum Young and deputy of the governor of the region Yermek Kosherbayev attended the launching ceremony.

"The external turnover between Kazakhstan and South Korea amounted to $1.26 billion last year. More than $110 million came from the joint project of KIA Motors and Azia Avto. KIA has become one of the most popular automobile brands in Kazakhstan in just three years. This joint project plays an important role in the economic partnership of the two countries," said Mr. Song Geum Young.

According to President of JSC "Azia Avto" Yerzhan Mandiyev, 39% of Kazakhstanis prefer Azia Avto vehicles and two of our models are among three most popular bestsellers in C-segment.
