ASTANA. May 23. KAZINFORM - The global recession lead, incredible as it may seem, to the anti-crisis measures taken at national levels.

This has been stated at the opening the VI Astana Economic Forum and the World crisis management conference by the Kazakh President Nursultan Nazarbayev.

"Of course, during any crisis action is better than inaction. Kazakhstan is known to have also carried out a successful anti-crisis program. It is possible to preserve jobs, and the positive dynamics of economic growth, " he said.

"Not all anti-crisis recommendations made within the group G20 have been implemented. For example, many states have implemented protectionist measures, this has led to a slowdown in the growth of world trade, lower prices on the global and regional markets fell volumes of cross-border lending and investment. Now they make up only 60% of the pre-crisis level. Another aspect of sharp deterioration in social well-being of people is growing global unemployment.

According to the forecasts of the International Labour Organization, this year the world will have more than 200 million unemployed. At the beginning of this year in Europe there were more than 26 million unemployed, which is 1.5 times more than 5 years ago. Many states have cut spending on education, health care, and human development. All these are clear signs of global social crisis that threatens to undermine the bar of standards of quality of life, even in advanced societies ", said the President of Kazakhstan.
