40 yurts to be installed on the square in front of “Kazakh Eli” monument for Nauryz celebration

ASTANA. KAZINFORM - The square in front of "Kazak Eli" monument will become the venue of the main event dedicated to Nauryz celebration. Residents and guests of the capital will see theatrical performance, festive concert and folk festivals. This information was shared with astana.kz by the metropolitan Administration of Culture.

There will be 3 stages installed on the square (one main stage, and two additional with the total area of 2 700 sqm), as well as a VIP tribune, tribunes for spectators for 5 000 people, LED displays. In addition to all this, there will be 5 tents, 10x10 m, installed on the square. Retail trading will be organized there, as well as public catering sites. There will also be 40 yurts with dressing rooms for creative teams from different regions of Kazakhstan, yurts for diplomatic representatives, and there will be yurts with exhibition of applied arts, national costumes, musical instruments, household utensils, paintings, ancient handicraft items, etc. There will be works done by people in disabilities in 6 yurts. It's worth noting that "Nauryz meiramy-2014" celebration will involve 6 regions. The total number of participants from regions will be 642 people. It's expected that approximately 60 000 - 70 000 people will attend the event in front of the monument "Kazak Eli".
